Kate Hodge
B.App.Sc (Speech Pathology)
Kate has worked in the area of paediatric feeding for over 15 years. Beginning her career at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead she spent 5 years working with children with a range of feeding difficulties and complex medical conditions. Kate then moved to the UK, working in a London hospital she developed a passion for neonatal feeding and supporting families during their time in the NICU and beyond.
Since returning to Sydney, Kate has led the paediatric feeding team at Liverpool Hospital. Working closely with members of the multidisciplinary team to tailor treatment to suit the individual needs of the families with a goal to develop enjoyable and rewarding mealtime relationships. She has a particular interest in medically complex children and tube weaning. As a mother herself, she can understand the challenges of mealtimes and support families to find practical solutions to make a positive difference to their lives.
