
Marija Bagaric

Marija is a Clinical Psychologist who has a passion for supporting children, adolescents and their families. She is experienced in the assessment and treatment of children presenting with developmental, social, behavioural and learning difficulties. Marija believes in working collaboratively with children and adolescents, their families and involved agencies to ensure that they reach their potential.
Marija has a background in providing diagnostic assessments for developmental delay, intellectual disability, specific learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behaviour, anxiety and mood disorders. She is trained in and is proficient in administering and interpreting a range of tests across the lifespan. Marija is trained in the use of the Wechsler tests (WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WIAT-III), Differential Ability Scales (DAS-2) the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and the Griffiths Scales of Child Development (Griffiths III) and a range of questionnaires-based psychometric assessments.
Marija has experience delivering individualised child and adolescent interventions. Marija believes in taking time to form a strong therapeutic alliance with her families and delivering evidence-based interventions. She primarily uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her sessions and focuses on holistic family interventions to achieve the best outcomes.
Marija has worked in public and private settings, and has a special interest in early childhood development and the important role of early intervention. In addition to her private work at Developmental Paediatrics, Marija is part of a multidisciplinary team at the Kogarah Developmental Disability Health Service providing developmental assessment for children presenting with a wide range of neurodevelopmental and learning concerns.
Marija completed her undergraduate training at the University of Wollongong and obtained her postgraduate qualifications at the Western Sydney University. She is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA, a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
