Vanessa Bension
BAppSc (Occupational Therapy)
Vanessa Bension is a compassionate and experienced paediatric occupational therapist specialising in early childhood development (0–6), school readiness, assistive technology prescription, and family-centered care. She combines evidence-based strategies with attachment principles to enhance children’s independence, function, and meaningful participation in daily life.
As an experienced ECEI professional and Key Worker, Vanessa supports families through diagnoses, NDIS navigation, and tailored interventions. Trained in routines-based interventions, the ALERT Program, Circle of Security Parenting, and DIRFloortime (in progress), she also holds sleep consulting certification, addressing sleep challenges for children with complex needs.
Vanessa collaborates closely with families to embed practical strategies into daily routines, ensuring children gain the tools they need to thrive while empowering parents to confidently support their child’s development in a way that aligns with their unique priorities and lifestyle.
Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Sydney, she has worked across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and North Shore in diverse paediatric settings. Whether it is through therapy, parent education, or multidisciplinary support, her work is guided by a deep commitment to strengthening connections, fostering resilience, and unlocking each child’s potential.
